The Rockland Rockets Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) sanctioned travel teams for boys and girls ages 17 and under 2009 season will run March through June. Based on the age group, teams will participate in 5 or 7 tournaments within the Tri-State area; NY, NJ and CT. Game days are usually Saturday and Sunday, although there have been exceptions (these will be communicated in advance).
The purpose of the Rockland Rockets Basketball Club is to develop comprehensive sports and educational programs to embrace our young boys and girls, to involve them in constructive interactive activities, encourage our young boys and girls to develop a desire to set personal goals and strive to achieve excellence in all facets of their lives.
Your personal commitmentto The Rockland Rockets Basketball Club is key to the success of the program. Each team member needs to attend all practices and games, exhibit, demonstrate and be an advocate of sportsmanship during practice and tournaments. As the parent, in addition to financial support; we need your support at tournaments; your presence is important as it helps to motivate the team and shows that you are supporting and encouraging their participation in the club. Each Coach, Player and Parent will be required to commit to the Rockland Rockets Code of Conduct which clearly defines the programs expectations and consequences as it relates to how we present and represent the program. We need your assistance with transportation and your active participation in fundraising activities which facilitates the success of the club.
The Rockets host multiple Fundraising Events. All players need to participate; family members are encouraged to participate in some way to make the Fundraising events a success. The first fundraiser will be “Drive to the Hoop” Tournament hosted by the Rockland Rockets, April 17th-19th and the 8th annual Golf Outing, scheduled for late spring.
For the 2010 Rockland Rockets Basketball Season the Non-refundable fees are as follows:
$425.00 for 5 Tournaments
$495.00 for 7 Tournaments
The fee covers:
- Tournament entry fees
- AAU registration
- Top Quality uniform
- Team sneakers
- Sneaker bag
The season fee does not include transportation or Overnight travel accommodations. This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.
